This memorial site is in memory of Jean-Marie Blanc who died at age 26 in a helicopter crash on January 28, 1977. Jean-Marie worked for EDF Emosson and was flying a Lama SA 315B type helicopter from Heli-Air/Gyrafrance helicoper alone when it crashed. The memorial site is a black engraved stone tablet mounted on a granite rock. It sits on the slope next to the trail going up to the Aiguillette des Posettes from the hamlet of Le Tour.
