La Bougnetterie is a mountain restaurants with a very large terrace located in the Plaine Joux recreation area above Servoz and Plateau d'Assy. The restaurant is located right next to the Maisson de la Reserve Naturel de Passy information center facing the parapente take-off area. Plaine Joux is a small ski area in winter and as such the restaurant is open both in the summer and winter months. Check their website for more information and to make reservations. The restaurant serves local specialties including Bougnettes, or potato pancakes, after which the restaurant is named. The menu is quite varied and all the produce is sourced locally.

The restaurant is part of Lou Pachran which offers a range of services for paragliding, mountain biking and e-mountain biking. Plaine Joux and La Bougnetterie can be part of the family friendly short trail going to the beautiful Lac Vert. The much larger and very impressive Tour de Fiz also drops by Plaine Joux.
