The Refuge de la Pointe Percee Gramusset is a nice refuge at the base of the start of the difficult climb up to the Pointe Percee. It has a fantastic location with nice views of the climb up and the valley of Le Grand Bornand. During my last visit the Refuge was being renovated as can be seen from the only picture I took at the time. I will make sure to visit and update this!
The Refuge has a capacity of 34 people in its dormitory. The Refuge is generally open from Mid June to end of September withs some other opening hours throughout the year. Check their website for more details and bookings.

A bit far from Chamonix and not easy to get to but I had to explore this iconic rock peak towering above Sallanches that you pass by on your way to the Chamonix Valley
