This is one of the bigger and nicest looking buvettes in the Chamonix Valley with an amazing close-up view of the Glacier des Bossons. The buvette is easily reachable using the Glacier des Bossons chair lift or by taking a short trail up from the parking where the lift departs. The chalet is often visited as part of the very popular trail to La Jonction. This trail passes by the chalet and then at about 400 vertical meters above the chalet there is another snack bar called the Chalet des Pyramids.

The chalet is always nicely taken care of with beautiful flowers. It has really nice outdoor seating on a big deck overlooking the glacier. There is also a little gift shop. From the chalet, there is a little trail that takes you to a nice view point of the Glacier and there are parts of a plane wreck that fell out of the glacier. There are information signs along the trail bringing it all to life. The snack bar is open from mid June to mid September at the same dates that the Les Bossons chair lift is open. The chalet has quite a nice menu offering the usual typical savoyard dishes including cheese fondue.
