Le Brevent is one of the main destinations in Chamonix, largely due to its easy access using the Brevent cable car which departs very near to Chamonix city center. The views from the Brevent across the valley and towards the Massif du Mont Blanc are truly spectacular. There are quite a lot of facilities at the summit of Le Brevent including a panoramic restaurants, a snackbar and a viewing deck with orientation table.

There is one main trail that passes by Le Brevent. To the north it goes to the Col du Brevent from where the north-western trail will take you in the direction the Refuge Moede Anterne. To the east this trail will take you down the mountain to Planpraz. Taking the trail south from Le Brevent brings you to the Refuge de Bellachat. Below the Brevent summit lies the Lac du Brevent with a trail that can bring you to the lake.
