The Restaurant du Barrage d'Emosson is a large restaurant located right next to the Emosson dam and the Lac d'Emosson lake high above Finhaut in Switzerland. Lac Emosson and the dam are a very popular tourist destination in summer. The dam is gigantic and very imposing and so is the lake that it has formed. The restaurant is large and often sees tour groups. It has a very large terrace facing the views of the mountains, including a pretty excellent view of Mont Blanc. In the pictures below you will find their menu. It is quite varied but mostly local Sovoyard dishes like different kinds of croute, cheese fondues and a variety of meat and sausages. They also have a snack menu with french fries, sandwhiches and omelettes. 

The easiest access to the Restaurant du Barrage d'Emosson is using the Verticalp furnicular and train which departs from Le Chatelard down in the valley below and uses a combination of 3 rides to get you up to the dam: a furnicular, a train and then another smaller furnicular. If you are coming by foot from the direction of the Chamonix Valley then the nicest route is probably the traverse from Refuge de Loriaz. We have a detailed trail description for this route.
