The Alpage de Blaitière is a very nice little alpine sheep and goat farm located roughly 700 meters above Chamonix on the way up to the Grand Balcon Nord. In summer, the farm serves snacks and drinks. The snacks are mostly cheese and charcutterie platters and variations on cottage cheese with different topics. The alpage has a nice outdoor sitting overlooking the valley and across to the Aiguilles Rouges. They also have a little souvenir area selling mostly sheep and wool themed items.

There is one trail that passes by the Alpage de Blaitière and this trail runs between the western edge of Chamonix, near the Montenvers train station, to the Grand Balcon Nord. The trail itself is not super interesting for at least the first 500 vertical meters going through the pine forest. At the Alpage it opens up and the trail and the views get increasingly beautiful.
